Savory Tang Yuan (Glutinous Rice Balls)

Ingredients

Glutinous rice flour
Vegetable broth
1 daikon radish, peeled and cut into matchsticks
1 chinese sausage
Napa cabbage, shredded
Dried shrimp

Directions

Bring the vegetable broth to a boil. Place the daikon radish, Chinese sausage, napa cabbage, and dried shrimp in the soup and simmer until daikon radish is tender.

Place the glutinous rice flour in a mixing bowl. Pour water in small batches at a time and knead with your hands until tough comes together into a playdough-like consistency. Roll the mixture into small balls approximately 1” and drop into the soup. Simmer the soup until the yuan float to the surface. Once the yuan float for approximately 1 minute, divide soup into bowls and serve.
